Learn About Keto Diet; every "BODY" is different and TI shares here, TI is NOT a doctor, her story is the MANY considerations to take into account when working into and maintaining your Keto diet that she has gone through. It didn't start for weight loss, it was for eczema. TI opens up her life to you to learn if it can help you. If something clicks in reading this page, you observe for your own body's needs, WONDERFUL! These are simply things TI has learned to help maintain a HAPPY HEALTHY balance on Keto for her body situation.

It is stated to ALWAYS talk to your doctor. Well what kind of doctor are they talking about...and that doesn't always help at any one given time in your life with what you have learned or know at that point in time! We are pretty ignorant when young in life, sorry to say. Yet, here TI states, talk to your doctor. Doesn't mean you HAVE to listen to any one that may not give a natural healthy conscious path to follow ;o) Some just DON'T KNOW! Are they actually working a keto diet for themself? Then they DON'T KNOW! Plain as that.

What "Type" of doctor have you spoken with on your health situation at any one point of time in your life?

a) An MD, Doctor of Medicine? In my 20's, they stated my situation is "eczema" and prescribed a cortisone cream medication that deteriorated my skin (as noted on the medication and by doctor). That still didn't work. I later learned one has to start from inside the body with foods/supplements to get it to heal. See notes on this under nutrition under 3. below.

Medical doctors I know are giving you "Names" for things, and then prescribing drugs for them. I have learned in my observations of life to stay with natural health remedies wherever and whenever possible.

Not until searching the internet in my 60's, did the algorithms bring up heart specialist Dr Gundry on lectin proteins (watch this video). It was then I was able to figure it out from his research! What to do INTERNALLY with foods! It's taken years for him to figure it out! THANK YOU Dr. Gundry! See the side tab for more on Dr. Gundry on video research he puts together and purchasing those products. I am an Ambassador for him, yes.

b) Doctor allergist-immunologist? I did that in the late 1980's. Went through a series of tests to learn of this or that allergy (Grains etc), which TOTALLY caused me to starve (picture above) in not understanding how to work to maintain my health...and still not handling extreme breakouts. My nutrition was so bad I was gaunt and getting blue under my eyes. Thank goodness for makeup.

c) Doctor of Chiropractic? The first chiropractor that could actually help my nutrional needs was ALSO a nutritionist who worked with Acoustic Cardiograph (ACG). This is used by a specifically trained doctor to work with the ACG machine to help determine needed food supplements to handle what the cardiograph machine was telling them. Muscle testing link here  was done to know which supplement amount is best at any given timeframe. I now use muscle testing on myself to adjust my food supplements to my needs over the months as we continually eat differently weekly to monthly. 

I had "Broken Heart Syndrome" in MN. The machine checked the rhythm of my heart after my husband passed away and life was happening. I wanted to monitor how I was doing.

In the picture above, in my 20's, VERY thin from trying different foods to test, is it this or that after the immunologist ... yet still no success. I had given up on many grains, but couldn't let go of rice and peas with bacon. I felt I had to eat something. I just loved that combination! That became a boiling point for absurd inflammation, which decades later I learned from Dr. Gundry's videos of the why - lectin proteins!

I wore white cotton gloves as oozing would seep and drip from my hands. They itched HORRIBLY! Doctors prescribed a topical cortisone cream medication, and WARNED it would thin my skin to be detrimental to a healthy layer of normal depth. It was all I understood to work with. After working with the medication, it didn't help, because I had to handle the internal WHY. 

What I did start doing after learning about Epsom salts, was to place my hands in the sink, then start filling it with steeping hot water and a handful of Epsom salts until I couldn't stand the heat anymore, shutting the water off then. I would soak it as long as I could letting the Epsom salts (click to understand) pull toxins from the skin (or the steeping hot water had numbed my skin enough with no more itching).

This was certainly helping take the itch away that I could continue on in life for another several more hours until I couldn't stand it any more and had to steep again. This went on for decades, going through a LOT of Epsom salts.

40 years later, after all I've had happen and to Learn About Keto Diet along with Dr Gundry's NO LECTIN Proteins (my rice and peas with bacon went bye-bye)! One can observe, possibly, the thinner skin below with skin texture with use of the cortisone cream that didn't help, only to deteriorate cellular DNA. They look healthy otherwise - Right?!?! No more inflammation, no more seeping itch :o)

So, TWO key points by the age of 60, I finally figured out...

One: Dr. Gundry understands lectin proteins and what THEY do to your gut, MY gut, from his web videos!

Two: learning how to balance my nutrients in not eating all the vegetables I thought I needed for a healthy balanced diet...which certainly wasn't getting me anywhere before, sad to say. It was all from the lectin proteins video from Dr. Gundry  that I watched to understand that they were creating havoc in my gut!

Nutrients: story of TI's journey continues...

After decades of having cut out grains and a lot of foods, observing what did this or that to cause a flare up, I'd figured out to stop white bread, pasta, and many of this type of carbohydrates. Still to no avail.

Then, in this picture, at some point I read to do a colon cleanse. That would help me clear out the accumulated bad bacteria and gunk that was harming me. Yes, I took pictures as my jaw dropped with all the gunk built up over several decades of my life. Well my hands DID clear up for a little while, mostly because I had to fast from all foods for several days, to a week in doing this particular cleanse. I have to say I did do it several more times in the following decades until...

Now, up until 2023 I'm still very ignorant in the science of understanding foods and what carbs are, thinking breads and pasta. It became clear to me as I learned with age, nutrition was key to maintaining a healthy body. I had TOTALLY neglected the BALANCE of nutrients my body needed to maintain and stay healthy! I was eating organic foods, eating fruits and vegetables, understanding in my ignorance I was staying balanced with raw, not cooked foods 80% of the time.

Having moved from MN to TX in 2016 (now in my 60's), in watching one of Dr. Gundry's videos (I've watched MANY now on foods) I had NO clue SOME vegetables are VERY high in carbohydrates. BOOM! I started to cut out my favorite Brussel sprouts baked with rosemary, or eating apples, or beets and the like. I'd learned many high lectin protein foods to cut out like - my potato chips, favorite bell peppers, or peas. My hands were ever so slowly getting better, itching less and less. 

All of this DID NOT MEAN I was losing weight. As a matter of fact I had become obese in eating ORGANIC fruits and veges, not a high protein diet as Keto. I didn't drink much    pop anymore, once a week my Dr. Pepper. I'd stopped alcohol decades ago. I kept telling myself, "But I'm eating healthy!"

Well then a new friend came into my life. YAY! She told me about Dr. Travis, the nutritionist in Bastrop, TX. I set up an appointment and FINALLY my nutrition came into balance. I was getting the needed nutrients from the Standard Process FOOD supplements. Now this is a good 40 plus years of struggling with this body itching eczema situation. I shared how I ate with her, no bread, organic raw fruits and vegetables, no sugar hardly, etc to do my best in staying healthy the best I knew how. 

She explained it sounded like I was on a Keto diet. HUH? I'd heard the word. Never looked the word's definition up to KNOW what it meant. So, I looked it up :o) Then she gifted me a Keto diet book.

Books: 

This will start cleansing your body right away. I have MANY Learn About Keto Diet books now, yet this started me to really understand, and get started on losing my first 50 pounds!

  • The second book I recommend is The Keto Diet by Leanne Vogel. This book gave me a more relaxed feel with Keto, yet I did put back on 10 pounds, so am going back to Maria's program...with Leanne's awareness.
  • www.thriftbooks.com is my FAVORITE website to gather used books from. Type in Keto cookbooks.
  • Fat bombs: OMG! I don't see myself giving up my sweet treat snacks or deserts with these fat bomb Keto recipes that satiate the appetite and help you feel full, on just tiny portions! One uses Monk fruit, not sugar, and I have developed my own favorite recipes from the many books. 

Sweet & Savory Fat Bombs by Martina Slajerova is one of my favorites that I make my own combinations from now. I'm not a detailed person when it comes to some of these recipes. I mean I don't roll or do individual small pieces. I spread it out on a cookie sheet and cut them up in bite size pieces. Now I know I want more coconut oil and certain nuts, almond butter, or coconut flakes added to this or that recipe. Get what I mean? Easy and fast for me ;o)

Internet searches: The internet is here for us!

One can go down a very deep rabbit hole in researching on the Keto Diet. I'm working to provide a starting point of study to Learn About Keto Diet lifestyle and the various observations of what it can help the body with. So far you've read about several conditions that I was looking to handle, my hand's eczema and balancing my nutrition. I was determined to study and work with Keto. The internet helped me all along the journey, and will for your specific needs. Use it wisely.

In this day and age we are blessed with the internet. I am DEEPLY GRATEFUL for those who contribute their truthful knowledge with observation that we can CHOOSE to discern for ourself!

Body metabolism shifting, adjusting to Keto: What the books DON'T help you understand is what may/may not happen to the body as it shifts to a different metabolism of working with ones new Keto eating lifestyle. You DON'T want to feed the dragons of fear! WORRY WILL DEPLETE your nutrients CREATING more havoc with your metabolism! BE OBSERVANT - when the worry thought sneaks up, throw a glass of water on it ;o) Take a deep breath, inhale, exhale like through a straw. Deep breathing DOES WORK to relieve stress!

So, that is what is important for me to share next in the continued study and balancing of the body's health...Learn About Keto Diet...things that HELP you along the way without worrying or running to the doctor for every little concern. MOST CERTAINLY get one's annual doctor visit in with your labs getting done. Start keeping this record in a health file for yourself. This will help you track over the years of your life.

A friend of mine does her labs twice a year. One with the annual checkup and then pays to have a second done 6 months later. Always monitoring her body to know what may or may not be happening metabolically or nutrient wise.

I had been checking my PH levels daily, if not every other day with a simple PH testing strip on my tongue. I was doing this for decades, making sure I didn't become acidic as that is what disease thrives on. Human body PH levels should be around 7.35 to 7.45. This IS ESSENTIAL to your staying healthy on any lifestyle diet OR living healthy for that matter!

Wonderful internet...getting onto the Keto diet, along comes the Vivoo PH urine testing strips to Learn About Keto Diet health on my internet algorithms. Well that Vivoo website totally agreed to my study research in "How was I to watch how my body was doing nutritionally on Keto?" With this urine test strip I am able to balance my PH and other vitamin/mineral intakes on a weekly basis now, adjusting to the body's nutritional needs as calcium, sodium, water intake, and other essential elements show low, good, or high. 

Now the doctors remind us, this IS urine analysis that can fluctuate with one's water intake. If your dehydrated that can show up in the test results, your water hydration IS on this test strip. So I'm able to KNOW what is really going on weekly with my nutritional balance. As you'll learn on their website. PH level monitoring on Keto is ESSENTIAL! And this provides that observation plus MORE!

Otherwise one would have to go to a medical doctor and get blood labs drawn to know how you're doing. EXPENSIVE compared to a weekly urine test!

I have been using Vivoo since mid 2023. VERY HAPPY with not causing me to worry with the fear dragon ;o) And, my annual doctor visit labs are proving that it's working! I MUST observe for myself, to work weekly in keeping my body nutrition balanced with the Keto diet, Standard Process Food Supplements, AND keeping out of high lectin protein foods as much as possible.

You will need to monitor your needs as well if you want to KNOW your body's balancing act.

I hear about many individuals having this or that problem being on the Keto diet.

IT IS A STUDY! OBSERVING and balancing it to work for you. Am I happy? A resounding YES!

Emma for gut health: Understanding healthy poop. What I didn't get, was understanding the poop business on Keto. I've asked others on the Keto diet what their situations were in this realm. Some shared no problem, a few shared some, and then theirs my body.

As a standard poodle breeder, I'm ALWAYS monitoring poop of the kids, mine is no different. Assuring I had good daily poops was an important observation in my life. Why? Growing up I would become badly constipated. VERY BADLY. Later to learn I have a bad cow lactose intolerance level to their proteins. What everyone knows as milk lactose intolerance. So I always worked to have healthy fibers from fruits and vegetables as an adult.

Thus, as you read earlier, I had to cut so much of that fiber out going on the Keto diet I became concerned. The fear dragon crept in :o( There were some references in the Keto books on stool observation, yet one doesn't get it until it starts to happen to you.

At first the stools were diarrhea like. That balanced out and then I became extremely constipated. I was keeping a poop journal! Thank GOODNESS for internet algorithms. Low and behold what came across my computer was "EMMA". Listening, watching Dr. Sam's research made the "Natural" healthy way decision for me to order IMMEDIATELY! 

WOW! What a difference!! On Keto, for some, this may become a lifetime ritual. I could eat my dried black figs. They work great, yet EMMA works helping in various metabolic ways as you will learn on her research video. That's what I wanted for further gut health. If I eat cheese on Keto, I always add ONE of my dried black figs to the meal. I really like them compared to other figs...or dates. Give them a try, DEFINITELY keep figs or prunes on hand just in case ;o)

Other health consideration on why to Learn About Keto Diet: Laugh with life again :o)))

What I have covered here, has been MY body situation, and why I will ALWAYS stick to a Keto diet. There are the various aspects to learn how your body may work on it and will take YOUR vigilant observation to balance with your desire to work with it, if it can help you.

I got into a Keto lifestyle because of eczema, then to learn of Dr. Gundry and high lectin proteins killing me, THEN to KNOW it helped me drop the weight off. 

It may be you have seizures as in #1's link above, or skin issues, or? Just KNOW, it is a study, monitoring your body as you move forward. I don't say it was an easy task. A lot of trial and error. We get so into social present day eating habits it's very hard to break those habits, or INCORRECT government recommendations of the food triangle. Well it DOESN'T work for everyone! 

You, YOUR SPIRIT, must LOVE your body to help it heal! Listen to high frequency music. STOP listening to negative people, low vibration movies, news. You'll start to feel so much happier.

Laugh with life again!

Cost: It's hard to not think of the cost in things. What is it worth to us to change how we eat, to stay healthier by learning and eating a Keto diet?

- Do we want to continue to live and possibly die from what is happening to our bodies sooner than later?

- Live in agony, pain, horrible skin conditions?

I was concerned when I first started. Vivoo, EMMA, Standard Process food supplements, more meat then cheaper pastas and rice. Over the transition I have found it actually balanced out to be about the same as I eat FAR less then before. The items I need to help balance the Keto diet I would rather spend my money on instead of more clothes or fancy things. I do my best to live a simpler life...like writing :o)

I stopped the fear dragon. It does like to sneak in here and there, so I donate to others in far greater need. In doing so, it shifts my endocrine hormones, making me smile and the love vibrations bless me in return.
